That my friend is a perfect Irish Haiku. Gobs has a whole lot more for you on Saturday.

March Tour Continues
Beer Me
Thanks to all those at the marvellous Manhatttan Illinois Irish Fest. This weekend check out the Flu at the Silver Spring Irish Fest in Maryland on Friday. We then hit the massive Shamrock fest on Saturday afternoon to play two sets on the Irish stage followed by a three hour evening session at Mick O'Shea's in Baltimore. Check out the new T-shirts ... though honestly you couldn't expect to look as good as this in one (see picture).

Flu board the plane to Illinois this weekend with Gobs furthering the cause of introducing the use of the word 'Beer' as a verb as in .. "Hey could you beer me please" or "Go beer yourself". We look forward to your interesting and imaginative uses of the new action word. Come tell us. Other than that the Flu will kick off the March season with two performances at the Irish Fest on Friday March 5th and Saturday March 6th. Come and get beered.

Flu won't Fado way
On Friday February 19th the Flu make their debut at the Guinness toast at Fado's in Washington DC. There is two good reasons for going along to 808 7th Street Northwest
Washington, DC starting at 8.30 and going long into the night. It will be a St Practice night to remember.
Happy Flu Year
Micks - Baltimore

The Flu get 2010 under way with not one but two perfprmances this weekend. The Flu breach the Mason-Dixon line on Friday to play the Purple Fiddle (21 East Avenue, Thomas, WV) . The Flu then return to their home from home Mick O'Shea's on Saturday for a knees up with their friends in Baltimore on Charles St.

Matt takes the Bass position by a longer neck
Matt P. O'Reilly has beaten off the efforts of Ardi and taken the position of Icewagon Flu bass player. Matt makes his debut at Brittingham's next month where there is no pressure but Gobs has stated that he will rip Matt's face off if he makes a single error. No nick name has emerged for Matt as yet but the name 'Meat' seems to be a favorite.

Run-Off for vacant bass position nears the end
Bass Position

Its been a close and exciting race but the competition to fill the Icewagon Flu bass slot vacated by Meef-Stool McFeces-Manboy-TimThompson is coming to a head. Here are the contenders ...one has looks on his side and the other is holding a banjo. Who will win? We will keep you informed of any developments (especially in Ardi's case). Don't miss this link.

Had your Flu Shot yet?
Its going to be a tough season so get prepared. The wagon will stop at Mick O'Shea's Baltimore on October 16th and 17th so roll your sleaves up and come on down to get your Flu shot of the musical variety.
Flu at Fairfax
Farewell Manboy
He has gone...to follow interests that involve sitting in his basement in his underpants. Manboy, Stool McFeces, Meef, Timmy Thompson ...whatever his name was, has retired his bass where it gathers dust in his closet. Its been fun, send us your favorite Manboy moment and we will put it on the site. Flu at Fairfax

Big Night

It is never too early to talk about St Patrick's day celebrations is it ....? Get ready
Big Night DC 2008

Big Night

Yes it stunk but all the more reason to kick its ass on the way out. Goodbye 2008. See in 2009 (a thoroughly more acceptable kind of year) with the Flu at the Big Night DC event on New Year's Eve. This will be no trivial affair. A whole host of bands will hold your hand through the proceedings and on in to the night.
George layed off!!!!!!

Has George become a victim of the economic crisis? Rumors surrounding the band after George's failure to appear at Maxwell's in October has prompted many to believe that George has been granted a severance package with the Flu having to make several necessary cuts to stay afloat. Founding member Gobshite has denied these stories stating that although many consider it luxury to have two vocalists, George has always been a luxury so why are things different now? George has not been returning phone calls or emails.

Make it a Green Halloween....

The Flu are shaping up for the summer with some East Coast dates. Will the Flu be appearing in Speedos? It hinges on whether McStool can lose 30lbs and fit into his thong.

Nude as the News reviews The Great American Something

"Someone, somewhere, give these guys a record contract"

'The Great American Something is defined by the reggae-drenched “Little Red Devil,” the groovy “I’m the Best,” and the smoking “Drowning in Air.”'
